Accoriding to the chuukese traitional way. women and men have different roles to play according .Each roles such as showing respected from the others. Women's roles such as showing repect, performing house chores, taking care of certain tasks ( more significant task) in society. In the traitional family women ( oldest daugther mostly) owns the lands (s) that belong to them, while the man's responsible is to take care of it for the ladies. In chuukese society women are mostly under men's control. For instance, let's take a couple , the lady aways do what the man says no matter what the situation is. she should agree and do as she's told. Among brothers and sisters, sisters can not be under the same roof where the brothers are and can't share any belonging with them. Whenever the brothers are seated or any ordinary man in society the ladies have to start crowling on their kness while approching their side.Women can't become leaders because they will violate their traitional rules if they do. Most of all,chuukese ladies are so called peacemakers. It is one of their roles that they should be the one's to make peace among people. The males listen to them while they ask for peace or forgiveness . Women play many more significant roles besides those mentioned above.
