Duties: This position exists to provide accounting and clerical support for the CariPac Project. Under the supervision the of VPCRE, the incumbent will keep and maintian record keeping of all business transactions for the CariPac Project, reconcile expenditures against approved budget, work closely with VPCRE Office and the COM-FSM Business Office to ensure compliance and accuracy of accounts and expenditures. This position will also responsible for preparing of purchase orders, travel authorizations, contracts, employee timesheets, petty cash request and reconciliation, and providing quarterly statements through VPCRE Office to all necessary offices. Perform necessary tasks between CariPac personnel, students and CRE Office and Business Office. Type, file and handle telephone. Review and make appointments for relevant staff and perform other related duties including serving on committees when necessary. Minimum Qualifications: College graduate with an AS/AA in Business preferred. Six months experience in direct accounting work. Two years of related work experience involved in posting of accounting records and other systematizing of fiscal information is preferred. Such experience must have demonstrated knowledge of standard arithmetic and spelling and possession of the abilities to follow oral and written directions, to write simply and directly and to observe differences in words and numbers quickly and accurately. Demonstrated knowledge of accounting classification and terminology pertinent to accounts maintenance operations and office practices and procedures relating to the preparing, processing and recording of transactions and accounting information. Ability to perform technical, accounting, recording keeping, and transmittal of financial and other related reports. Must be computer literate with working knowledge of excel.
