Duties:
Handles the processing of payments for vendors for all COM-FSM programs and operations including the state campuses. Processes checks for the payment of refunds to students. Examines completeness and propriety of supporting documents.  Reviews mathematical accuracy of amounts to be paid, and checks correctness of accounts to be charged.  Ensures that payments are processed in a timely manner. Monitors payments for housing contracts, Travel authorizations, purchase orders and other obligation documents to ensure that payment s are processed on time. Handles depositing of cash collections at the banks and other banking activities. Assists in providing services to students, faculty, staff and other patrons at the Business Office Counter. In the absence of the cashier, takes charge in handling the counter. Delivers allotments checks and other checks to vendors [PUC, tax payments and reports, Telecom payment, etc. Acts as cash custodian and held accountable during registration in receiving payments from students and in ensuring that cash receipts are kept intact and in order. Handles the preparation of audit schedules related to accounts payable. Assists in imputing payments from students under the SIS program. Serve on committees.
Minimum Qualifications:
Successful completion of a degree or diploma at a US accredited business school in accounting or related field with four years of direct work experience in the area of work assignment and half a year in general work experience. Proficient in excel and words or any accounting software and office machines, accounting classification and terminology pertinent to accounts maintenance, standard operations and office practices and procures relating to the processing of transactions and accounting information. Ability to analyze and review documents and transactions and knowledge of principles and practices of generally accepted accounting principles and methods of evaluating financial transactions. Honest, responsible, hardworking and dependable traits are essential.
