Mere words cannot express my appreciation for last Tuesday's tribute dinner. Your thoughtfulness, generosity, and kind words were overwhelming. All of your tributes and gifts, including the Board's resolution and wall hanging, the poem from Kosrae and other formal written expressions from Yap and Chuuk, the picture and video collages, the 1994 newspaper article regarding the double draw down, and the beautiful handicrafts, lamp, and paintings, will save to remind me of the incredible support you provided me and the College as a whole during my tenure as President. Without this support, none of the accomplishments you attributed to me could have been realized.

The carved gecko from the Staff Senate, who has been nicknamed "Lucky," has taken on a personality of its own and is available for all to see and pet as you walk by my cubicle in the Education Division office. I would also like to inform you that many of the items in the "tool kit" have already been put to good use in my classes.
The support that you all provided over the past eight years was invaluable. Let's all join hands, as the COM-FSM family, and provide this same support to the new President.
