This course is designed to improve you overall proficiency in reading.

Text Book:

Quest 3: Reading and Writing in the Academic World

Every student must have a copy of the textbook for this class

Rules:

NO gum chewing in class. Students may not leave the classroom without the instructor’s permission. If a student leaves the class without the permission of the instructor it shall be counted as an absence.

Do not come to class late. Lateness disturbs the flow of the classroom and shows a lack of respect for other students. Ten minutes tardy for a class period will count as half an absence.. .more than ten minutes will be a full absence.

Please do not speak during class period unless it is to answer questions. You may not cany on private conversations with friends during class period.

No copying of other’s work.. .this is cheating.

Grading and work assignments:

There will be weekly quizzes on all assignments. There will be no make-ups allowed.

Attendance Policy:

Students must attend class and be on time. Students will be dropped from the class after nine absences according to school regulations.
