The following is an example from the field of education, in particular learning curve theory.
In February 2010 my youngest daughter wanted to learn to ride a RipStik. On Wednesday evening the 10th of February I took her out to the movie theater parking lot and worked with her on learning to ride the RipStik. The data in the table indicates her attempt number and the number of seconds (s) she remained up, rolling, and successfully riding the RipStik [rolling time in seconds].
On her first attempt she feel off immediately. One her second attempt to ride she stayed on for 0.5 seconds before falling off. With each attempt she was generally, but not always able to ride longer. The first twelve attempts were recorded below. No children were hurt in the production of this data.
